LBGT PA Caucus Nominations

The LBGT PA Caucus invites all those interested in running for a LBGT PA Caucus Board of Directors and LBGT PA Caucus HOD Chief Delegate Position.

A submission form has been developed to assist our members in familiarizing themselves with the candidates for the LBGT PA Caucus Officers, Directors, and Chief Delegate. The unedited responses to this form are below, in addition to their length of membership and if they are a current or former donor to the Caucus. 

APPLICATION TIMELINE

May 1: Application for nomination opens

RECOMMENDED DEADLINE Wednesday 5/27 at 11:59PM EDT: Deadline for Self-Declaration or Nominations

ABSOLUTE DEADLINE June 1 by end of General Membership Meeting: Deadline for Self-Declaration or Nominations

June 1 at 8:00PM ET: General Membership and Annual Business Meeting - slate of candidates announced

June 2: Voting opens at 8:00am ET (see below regarding process and eligibility).

June 9: Voting closes at 11:59PM ET

Prior to June 30: Candidates will be notified pending election results 

July 1: Term begins

Election results will be announced once eligibility of all voters has been verified and the votes are tallied.

OPEN POSITIONS

President-Elect (3-year term): 1 position open

• Term: "three (3) years so as to serve in the offices of President and Immediate Past President in the consecutive years to follow election for President-elect."
• Duties: Please see Article VII of our Bylaws for a full list of duties.

• Eligibility: “The roles of President-elect, President, and Immediate Past President must not be filled by three (3) individuals with the same gender identity. Eligibility of President-elect candidates will be determined based on this rule.” As the gender identity of the 2026-27 President and Immediate Past President are no the same, members of the any gender identity are eligible for 2026-27 President-elect officer position. Candidates for President-elect must be a member in good standing of AAPA and the LBGT PA Caucus.

Treasurer (1-year term): 1 position open

• Term: one (1) year
• Eligibility: Must be a member in good standing of AAPA and the LBGT PA Caucus.
• Duties: Please see Article VII of our Bylaws for a full list of duties.

Secretary (1-year term): 1 position open

• Term: one (1) year
• Eligibility: Must be a member in good standing of AAPA and the LBGT PA Caucus.
• Duties: Please see Article VII of our Bylaws for a full list of duties.

Director-at-Large (1-year term): 5 positions open

• Term: one (1) year
• Eligibility: Must be a member in good standing of the LBGT PA Caucus.
• Duties: Please see Article VII of our Bylaws for a full list of duties.

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY

Nomination or self-declaration are both permitted. While not expressly stated in bylaws, in order to avoid disputes or confusion, it is best practice for a candidate who is nominated to accept their nomination verbally or in writing prior to the election (by 5pm EDT on Sunday, May 31st).

The General Membership and Annual LBGT PA Caucus Business Meeting will be held virtually on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at 8:00PM-9:30PM EDT. The slate of candidates will be announced at that time.

The deadline for nomination or self-declaration is RECOMMENDED by Wednesday 5/27 at 11:59PM EDT.
