We are accepting applications beginning March 1st for the 2026-2027 term.

Eligibility Requirements

• Currently enrolled PA students in an accredited PA program in good standing at the time of the application deadline (PAs completing postgraduate training programs are not considered students for the purposes of the Student Board and are ineligible to apply).

• Member in good standing of the LBGT PA Caucus (see discounted student membership options here)

• Commitment to advancing health equity for the LGBTQIA+ community 

• Ability to attend > 50% of Student Board meetings (standing meetings held every two months via Zoom; additional meetings may be called as needed to discuss upcoming events, projects, etc.)

• Commitment to serve on the Student Board for the entire year, running from July 2026-June 2027.

Positions Available

• President: Shall preside over meetings, represent the student board to the LBGT PA Caucus and external organizations, and oversee the execution of the student board’s mission and goals

• Vice President: Shall assist the president and take over duties in their absence, and oversee the development and implementation of health equity and educational initiatives

• Secretary: Shall maintain records and record minutes at student board meetings

• Communications & Outreach Chair: Shall work with the primary board’s Communications Chair to manage the student board’s external communications, social media presence, and student engagement strategies

• Diversity Chair: Shall lead efforts to cultivate diversity within the student board’s activities and to raise greater awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues within healthcare
